I truly apologise for not updating this blog for a long time now. Getting my other half to help me with this blog is like waiting for the moon to drop. I have been so busy making adjustments in my life like moving back to Malaysia temporarily, landing myself a full-time job as a Tax Associate at Crowe Horwath and at the same time studying for my CPA (it's a professional paper for those who don't know) after work. There goes all my free time. :(
So I have been back in Malaysia for two weeks already and let's just say that my heart and soul is still in Perth and I don't think my heart and soul would wanna come back to me as a whole. Malaysia is my birth place but Perth got my attention and I've grown so much love for it in terms of the people, the food, and the lifestyle. Here in Malaysia, I'm trying my best to adapt to the hot and hazy weather which is not pleasing at all as well as not having the usual brunches that I normally have in Perth. In Perth, you've got vegan food, savoury food or sweet and savoury or GF food. AND THEY ALL TASTE SO DAMN GOOD. Whenever I'm off food hunting, I normally had the boy to accompany me to all my food adventures. But this time at Hylin, the boy and I finally had our group of friends joining us on my foodie adventure! We don't usually do brunches together as a group because well, people do need to work. Except me cause i'm such a lazy bum which also means discovering new food places. So YAYYY to that. Before I start on my usual food post, I have good news and bad news. So which would you like to hear first? I shall start with the bad news first. As some of you know that I have recently graduated in Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and I can no longer continue my stay here in Perth as I was only here for 1 1/2 years which makes me not able to apply for a TR visa. You know when you've converted from a full-time student to a full-time food monster, you just can't stop eating your way through life. I have definitely found happiness in GOOD food. Don't get me wrong here when I say I found happiness in food. It means that the food must taste awesome and great just like me. You know when you're fresh out of university with invaluable theoretical knowledge, no experience in the industry that you wish to pursue because no one wants to hire you due to your lack of experience and second, you're just an average student who scores averagely in exams. But one way or another, someone or a company would have to hire you in order for you to put your acquired studies into practice. |
